Partner Visa

Have you ever wondered how can join your partner who is permanent resident/ citizen of Australia or how can you apply for partner visa when you are in Australia and married an Australian citizen or permanent resident or Eligible New Zealand Citizen at the time of applying.?
Australian partner visa subclass lets spouse or de facto partners to apply for partner visa while they are in and out of Australia.

Onshore Partner visa (Subclass 820/801)

Australian partner visa subclass lets spouse or de facto partners to apply for partner visa while they are in and out of Australia.
Temporary Partner visa (Subclass 820)
This visa permits the de facto partner or spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen live in Australia temporarily. Acquiring this visa is the first step towards a permanent Partner visa (subclass 801).
Permanent Partner Visa ( Subclass 801)
This permanent subclass is the second step of combined onshore partner visa application. The applicant is granted this visa usually after 2 years of temporary partner visa grant.
Married Applicants:
Applicant must be 18 years or above and marriage must be valid under Australian law. Applicants must meet the 4 pillars of relationship:
1- Applicant hold a mutual commitment with your spouse to the exclusion of all others
2- The relationship is genuine and continuing
3- You either live together or do not live permanently apart
4- The applicant and the spouse are not related by family.
De facto Partners
You and your partner are in a de facto relationship if:
1- You are not married to each other
2- You have a mutual commitment with your de facto partner to the exclusion of all others
3- Your relationship is genuine and continuing
4- You live together or do not live permanently apart
5- You are not related by family.
Generally, you must be in a de facto relationship for at least 12 months immediately before you apply for this visa. Time spent dating or in an online relationship might not count as being in a de facto relationship.
The 12-month requirement will not apply if applicant is exempted.
Offshore Partner Visa (309/100)
Just like onshore partner visa this visa is granted in 2 steps. Temporary partner visa 309 is first step and next is 100. Applicant has to meet all the requirements of partner visa.
Dependent Child Temporary visa (445)
Want to add dependent child to visa application after Temporary partner visa has been granted? Dependent Child temporary subclass 445 lets your dependent child to let live and travel in Australia. Child can later on apply for permanent visa.
Prospective Marriage (Fiancé) visa (Subclass 300)
Prospective Marriage visa is a temporary visa that is valid for nine (9) months. Fiancés of Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizens are permitted to enter Australia to marry their fiancé. The applicant must marry their partner within this time period and after the marriage they can apply for Australian Partner visa.
New Zealand Citizen Family Relationship Visa (Subclass 461)
This visa subclass is also known as New Zealand Partner visa. This visa lets de facto partner and spouse of eligible New Zealand to let live and work in Australia temporarily for 5 years.
